The Quiet Season...Winter

We are not having a typical winter here in New England. Blame it on Global Warming. We have had record high temperatures and lack of snow and ice. Not complaining, but, as a New Englander, I do miss the joy of a good nor'easter snow storm. Everything stops.  Schools, churches and even pizza deliveries are closed. No car traffic other than the congo line of plows.
Nowhere to go, no place to visit and days to stay put in your home.

Pull out a jigsaw puzzle and try to finish it.

Start cutting the ingredients to make soup and take an afternoon nap.

Listen to the quiet. Build a snowman. Read a good book.

Pick up colored pencils and pretend to make art.

Call an old friend and check in.

Feed the birds suet and seeds (without millet).

Watch the birds.

Listen to classical music.

Listen to Jazz and Blues.

Try to clean up your desk and toss excess materials.

Listen to the quiet snow.

Listen to your breathing.

Enjoy
