Summer Breeze on Quill Pond

My first camera was brownie box camera. I was so excited to capture my neighbors Debby, Joel and their beagle "Loxy". It was summer and in the coming fall, I was going into 4th grade. I took pictures of shadows, my girlfriend and my elementary school. We took a bus trip to Echo Bridge and I had my camera with me to record this big travel event. I have had many cameras since then. I have taken thousands of pictures. As Ansel Adams said "Your first thousand pictures are only training." He was so correct on that point. I keep learning, and tuning my art. I gave up film cameras only three years ago. Digital cameras don't restrict me to a number of pictures, or keeping bad pictures, and filling up books and books of photos in album. Album are great but, who has time to go back into the past at this point.
Beautiful pictures. I am lucky enough to have a couple of your photos hanging up in my apartment Aunt B...one of Mr. D and one of Grandpa. I see them eery day and while, of course I think of the subjects of the photos, I always think of you too! Love you,Katie
