July 19, 25 Saturday, nice breeze in the back yard. I have moved to the deck. Glenn is opposite me practicing his french. Betsy McNamara birthday is coming and I made her a cat appropriate card. I have been feeling calm lately. I am walking with Abby and without Abby on the rail trail though and around Newburyport. My legs are getting stronger. My gut is smaller but, Glenn has not noticed that yet. I started out the day by cutting miss becky's nails. There was some objection on her part, but, they were long and sharp and dangerous. The long heat wave is gone and I am enjoying this cooler and breezy weather.
We booked our next barge trip in France out of Strasburg in October. No crowds and no heat waves.
Our yard is filled with baby birds doing what they do best. Flying funny and enjoying their new freedoms. Most still want Mom's food, but, she is back to her single life.
